A total break from the UK would hand the establishment (the oligarchy, call them what you choose) free reign to do exactly as they please with the running of this island.

oh what a suprise bailaches wee bro gets to be the new deputy dog, well the abuse cases are well stiched up . The brothers think they run this island , do they have ancient rites or just s case of been trained up for the job the Jersey way.i cant believe it,do either of them have sons as they will inherit good jobs in the next few years . Deputy Geoff Southern has found his position on the Population and Migration Scrutiny Sub-Panel untenable, after Senator Ferguson's failure to support the Strategic Plan amendments that he proposed, based on the Panel's work.

Geoff says "I shall never work for this woman again." He also believes that "She sides with the establishment and cannot recognise any evidence that does not correspond with her political bias and bigotry. In fact she could not spot evidence if it jumped up and said 'boo'."

His conclusion is that she should not be in charge of a scrutiny panel at all. However, while she is, he will not waste his time, nor tarnish his credibility, by working under her.

Carrie, I for one was most certainly not surprised at the appointment of the new AG, I certainly won;t be surprised either if in a year or two if the new Bailiff is shuffled out. Think about it. Wheels within wheels, protection today - head rolls tomorrow.

Keep on fighting girl, your a credit to all the Abused in Jersey for your commitment in ensuring that Justice will be seen to be done.

A couple of brief messages.

Firstly, a commenter is asking for me to respond to his defence of the decision by Bill Bailhache to let off certain child abusers.

I will respond - and am happy to debate the subject - but I have an immense amount of other work-loads on my shoulders.

I don't have a multi-million pound department of lawyers and such-like to compile such arguments for me.

And running this blog is a one-man operation.

So give me some breathing-space.

Secondly - I'm going to stop the Freemason threads again.

As I said previously, it is not that Masonry is not a legitimate topic of debate.

It's just that I find the arguments about it to be somewhat futile - and not a little boring.

So don't be offended if I don't post Mason related comments for a few weeks.

Christ - what a nightmare.

I walked out on it when I was 15 - and it was as though my life didn't begin until I had begun to recover from the shell-shock and trauma - when I was around 17 or 18.

The French as a whole have no idea! However, living in France I know how the system works! What you have to do en mass may I add, is to make The french Police/Gendarmerie aware of who is living within a certain commune and the alligations against them!

The French authorities are then obligated by law to investigate/or make it known to the accused that they are under suspicion!! It's as simple as that....

Police state?....welcome to France Mr & mrs Mguire!!

I see a poster mentioned Razzy from planet jersey well i would like to tell your readers that he is a friend of mine and a well sound chap..

Readers JTM is not posting ( at the moment )

Planet jersey does have a place even if we don't all agree with what's written on it..

There is a more important fight going on at the moment and that's getting justice for the abuse survivors..

My heart goes out to the parents and the childre of the nursery in PLYMOUTH where a 39 yr old woman has been charged with taking and distributing indecent pictures of children. How disturbing and sickening is that? even more disturbing is the fact that child abusers think they can get away with it. This should be a firm warning to the Judiciary in Jersey, their failure in holding Child Abusers accountable gives other sico's the idea that THEY can get away with it. I realise that Plymouth is NOT Jersey, however Sico's really ought to be aware there is "no hiding place" one day you will have to face those you abuse.

Justice may take time but it will happen one day.

William Bailhache is the man who last week announced his decison not to pursue prosecutions in two cases of historic abuse.

He will take over from Michael Birt, who is being sworn in as Bailiff next month.

Some Care Leavers have said they will use the occassion to demonstrate against the way the island’s authorities have handled the inquiry"

Rob - the States will TRY and pay compensation to the victims, but rest assured, some of them are not interested in the money, just the justice that they are being denied.

Money talks, but some people have far more dignity than to walk away as easily as that, and in that fight I wish them well.

They have my full support.
